Warfare & Military Operations
Wars are fought between Sovereign States for control of territory. Unlike traditional browser war games, citizens must be physically present within a country before they can participate in its military operations.
Declaring War & Initiating Battles
A nation may only initiate battles against another nation if a formal state of war exists between them. War declarations are authorized through the national government.
Authorized Officials
Military operations may be initiated by:
- President
- Vice President
- Minister of Defense
Battle Restrictions
Only one active battle may exist between two nations at any given time. This prevents overlapping conflicts and ensures military efforts remain concentrated on a single contested region.
Attacking Connected Regions
Military offensives may only target regions directly connected to existing territory. This creates realistic frontlines and prevents nations from launching attacks against isolated regions.
To launch an attack:
- The attacking nation must control an adjacent region.
- The targeted region must share a border with attacking territory.
- A valid territorial connection must exist.
Occupation
- Attacker Victory → The region becomes occupied. Territorial control transfers to the attacking nation.
- Defender Victory → The region remains under existing ownership. No territorial changes occur.
Military Deployments & Physical Presence
Citizens must be physically present within a country before they may participate in military operations on behalf of that nation. Location matters. A citizen cannot support a country from the opposite side of the world without first traveling there.
Participation Requirements
- Be physically located within the country they wish to support.
- Not be in transit.
- Meet all combat participation requirements.
International Deployments
Citizens may travel internationally to support allies, coalition members, or foreign nations. Travel time varies depending on distance, transportation infrastructure, and diplomatic agreements.
During travel, citizens are considered In Transit and cannot:
- Participate in battles
- Work
- Train
- Perform location-dependent activities
Coalition Deployments
Coalition members may deploy personnel into allied countries before or during conflict, allowing nations to coordinate operations and prepare defenses before hostilities begin.
Regiments
Regiments are the player-organized combat collectives that coordinate citizen participation in wars. Joining a Regiment gives access to Headquarters bonuses, Battle Orders, and group help mechanics. (Regiment management UI and upgrade tiers are part of the game client.)
Revolts in Occupied Core Regions
Nations may attempt to reclaim occupied Core Regions through revolts. A revolt represents an organized resistance effort against foreign occupation. See Resistance Warfare & Territorial Recovery for the full mechanic.
Resistance Bonus
Citizens supporting a revolt receive a +1% to +40% Resistance Bonus based on the Resistance value of the occupied region.
Battle Orders & Military Coordination
Governments and Regiments may issue Battle Orders to coordinate military operations.
Government Orders
May be issued by President, Vice President, or Minister of Defense. These orders identify national military priorities.
Regiment Orders
May be issued by Regiment Commander or Regiment Officers. These coordinate battlefield participation among Regiment members.
Order Priorities
| Priority | Damage Bonus |
|---|---|
| Low | +5% |
| Medium | +10% |
| High | +15% |
Higher-priority orders provide stronger incentives for participation.
Strategic Warfare
Military success depends on:
- Territorial positioning
- Regional connectivity
- Citizen participation
- Coalition coordination
- Effective leadership
- Forward deployments
The Warfare Cycle
War Declaration → Battle Initiation → Citizen Deployment →
Military Operations → Occupation or Defense → Territorial Change
