Parliament, Laws & Ministers
Sovereign states are governed through representative institutions. Parliaments propose and pass laws; executives implement them; ministers administer specialized portfolios.
Parliamentary Elections
Members of Parliament (MPs) are elected by citizens. Eligible citizens may:
- Vote in elections
- Run for office
- Participate in political campaigns
- Support political parties and candidates
Legislative Proposals
Parliaments may consider proposals on:

Becoming Law
A proposal is debated, voted on by Parliament, and — if approved — becomes binding national law. Laws remain in effect until they are repealed, replaced, amended, or invalidated through constitutional processes.
The Executive
The Head of Government (President, Prime Minister, Chancellor, or Premier depending on national structure) is responsible for national administration and coordinating executive functions.
Ministers
Ministers are senior government officials appointed to oversee specific areas of administration.

Government Accountability
Governments remain accountable to the electorate through elections. Citizens may vote for representatives, support political movements, campaign for policy changes, and seek public office. The legitimacy of government authority ultimately derives from citizen participation.
