Factory Production Loops & Supply Chains

Factories transform raw materials into processed goods, consumables, construction materials, and military equipment. Every product in Territoria originates from a production chain.

The Production Chain

Raw Materials → Processed Materials → Finished Goods → Consumption or Trade

As products move further down the chain, their value generally increases.

Resource Extraction

Resource Companies generate raw materials. Current Raw Materials include:

  • Wheat · Cow · Fish
  • Iron Ore · Stone Ore · Coal Ore
  • Raw Oil · Gold Ore · Diamond

Raw Materials are produced using Production Points (PP), Worker Labor, Entrepreneurship, and Automated Company Production. Without resource extraction, all downstream production eventually stops.

Commodity Refining

Refining Companies convert raw resources into industrial commodities.

Industrial Manufacturing

Examples:

  • Paper
  • Ammunition
  • Industrial Components
  • Advanced Manufacturing Inputs

Ammunition Production

Military equipment requires dedicated manufacturing chains. Current ammunition classes:

  • Small Ammunition
  • Medium Ammunition
  • Large Ammunition

Ammunition production requires industrial inputs and Production Points. Nations unable to secure industrial supply chains may struggle to sustain prolonged warfare.

Production Points (PP)

All manufacturing relies on PP. Three sources:

  • Employee Labor — Workers consume Energy to generate PP.
  • Self-Work — Owners consume Entrepreneurship to generate PP.
  • Automated Production — Company upgrades passively generate PP over time.

Company Production

When a company owner selects "Produce", the company consumes available PP and required input materials, then manufactures as many finished products as possible. Production cannot occur if either PP is insufficient or required materials are missing.

Supply Chains

Every chain depends on upstream industries:

Wheat → Bread
Iron Ore → Steel Ingots
Raw Oil → Oil → Fuel

Disruptions anywhere in the chain may create shortages throughout the economy.

Vertical Integration

Players may control multiple stages of production:

Iron Ore Company → Steel Company → Ammunition Factory

This allows owners to reduce dependency on external suppliers and increase profitability.

Blueprints

Blueprints determine what products a company may manufacture. Each company type is specialized for a specific production role:

  • Resource Extraction
  • Refining
  • Food Production
  • Construction Materials
  • Military Manufacturing

Blueprints define required inputs, PP costs, and output products.

Industrial Strategy

Successful industrialists:

  • Secure reliable raw materials
  • Maintain sufficient PP generation
  • Control critical supply chains
  • Locate companies near strategic bonuses
  • Manage production costs
  • Expand into higher-value manufacturing
